About Us
Hello, my name is Mike Dorsey. It is my privilege to be the owner and operator of two beautiful adult family homes in North Seattle.
A little about myself. I have been a Registered Nurse for 30 years. I have spent many years in the area of Geriatric care; eighteen years as a Nursing Home Administrator in homes with 30 to 250 beds. Ten years ago I retired from the field and began a second career caring for the elderly in Adult Family Homes.
I became acutely aware of the enormous difference in the quality of care between a skilled nursing facility and a good Adult Family Home. I knew I could create a environment where we could provide for our residents, a comfortable and nurturing home setting and still meet their individual needs.
At our homes the resident manager lives on site and I provide the medical oversight for the residents.
The caregivers at North Seattle Adult Homes all have excellent communication skills; and the credentials required by the State of Washington, including 10 hours of continuing education each year.
We provide the most personal, thorough and homelike environment possible. Both elegant and secure you will find my homes to be warm and inviting. An affordable alternative to a Nursing Home or Assisted Living care.
